Romanticizing my future is living each season of my life to its fullest. Like nature, things change, people change, places change, you change, change, change, change. Through change I’m learning to operate and optimize until opportunities present themselves. I choose to operate in self awareness by focusing on who I am; that looks like knowing my needs, feelings, values, triggers and self care regimen. I choose to optimize my self love by learning to accept, affirm, assess and aspire to my lifestyle. I choose to be open to the seasonal opportunities God has for me. Trying to control my life looked like telling God my plans instead of living out His plan for my life; It showed up as unnecessary challenges, unrealistic comparisons and unconsciously copying. When I learned to embrace my current season with what I had, it gave birth to the fruits of the spirits. Trusting the change as I changed has been my breakthrough. I’m romanticizing the future by embracing the changes with ease; That ease is choosing me, choosing God and choosing my lifestyle.
