Fight for Me

Loving ourselves is being in the battlefield which is somewhat unorthodox for many, but you soon learn love for self can only make your love for others stronger.

Understanding what has been good to me is just an amazing place to be in. In honor of February the so call love month a lot of times I can get in this mindset of oh I’m such a hopeless romantic, my husband ain’t here yet or even where is BAE at I’m ready for him. Then reality sets in. That reality is my peace, my grace and my love for self. When it comes to loving self we learn that we have to FIGHT. Fight for clarity, fight for understanding, fight for desires, fight for needs, fight for awareness and so on. Loving ourselves is being in the battlefield which is somewhat unorthodox for many, but you soon learn love for self can only make your love for others stronger. I decided to get in the ring for myself when I realized my love for myself solely depended on how others treated me, how others thought what was best for me and how others value dictated my own. I soon realize ain’t no way I can fight for me if I constantly allow others to dictate my love for self. I learn to get to know me and that’s my continuously fight. It’s an honor to be in my battlefield of self love because after all I’m in the ring with God. His love for me is teaching me how to love him which ultimately teach me that love for myself. Self love is a practice of self care. Self Care is a practice of self awareness and my dear that’s what adds value which is acceptance of You. That was a werd I hope you didn’t miss it.
