Grieving the loss of hope for someone or something can look like change. Change in what we know, felt or experienced. Grieving acceptance of that change will birth newness of what’s present; the presents of your needs, feelings, values, trauma and self care regimen. You can’t change what happened but you can invest in tools of education and enlightenment to serve your mind, body, soul and spirit. You deserved to self care, you are more than capable of doing it. So start by learning to accept the past, affirm the now, assess your accessibility and be an asset to your care.
